Professional Microneedling for Healthier-Looking Skin

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment performed by trained providers using an FDA-cleared device. It creates tiny, controlled openings in the skin that may support the body's natural repair process.

Clearing microneedling devices are indicated to improve the appearance of facial acne scars, wrinkles around the eyes and other areas of the face and neck, and surgical scars on the abdomen in adults 22 and older.

Benefits:

  • Stimulates collagen production

  • Improves uneven skin texture

  • Softens the appearance of fine lines

  • May improve acne scars

  • Helps reduce the appearance of enlarged pores

  • Can improve uneven skin tone

  • Helps skin look smoother and healthier

  • Can be customized to your skin's needs

How It Works

A specialized microneedling device gently creates tiny openings in the skin. These openings encourage the skin to begin its natural repair process.

As the skin heals, it can produce new collagen and elastin, helping improve the appearance of texture, firmness, and overall skin quality.

What to Expect During Treatment?

Your experience begins with a personalized skin assessment where we discuss your concerns and goals. Treatment is then tailored to your skin and the areas you would like to improve.

During your appointment, the microneedling device is gently moved across your skin to create tiny openings that encourage natural renewal. You may notice some warmth or sensitivity afterward.

Our team will provide simple aftercare guidance to help your skin recover and support your results.

Is the Treatment Right for You?

Microneedling may be a great option if you're looking to improve your skin's texture, fine lines, acne scars, or overall appearance while supporting natural collagen production.

Professional Microneedling vs. At-Home Pens

At-home pens and in-clinic microneedling can look similar, but they are different products. The FDA has cleared microneedling devices for use by trained provider and has not authorized any microneedling medical device for over-the-counter sale.

Results vary and may be temporary; more than one treatment may be needed.

Regulation

Needle Depth

IN CLINIC

Cleared microneedling devices are Class II medical devices cleared through the FDA's 510(k) process. Needle length, geometry, depth accuracy, and puncture rate are tested.

AT HOME

Short, blunt-needle rollers that only exfoliate are generally not regulated as medical devices. No microneedling device is authorized for over-the-counter sale.

IN CLINIC

Each cleared device has its own tested maximum depth. Your provider sets depth for the area and concern within that range.

AT HOME

No FDA clearance supports deeper, skin-piercing use at home. Longer or sharper needles reach living cells, nerves, and blood vessels.

Needle Quality and Sterility

IN CLINIC

A sterile, single-use cartridge is used for each patient and each session.

AT HOME

Not held to the same standard. "Surgical-grade" is a marketing term, not an FDA designation, and reuse raises infection risk.

Oversight

IN CLINIC

Skin assessment, numbing, and aftercare from a trained provider.

AT HOME

Self-directed, so technique and pressure vary.
